What's New in HallianAI 6.5.4: Projects, Token Visibility, and More

HallianAI 6.5.4 is here. This release focuses on two things your teams have been asking for: a dedicated space to collaborate on AI-assisted work, and clear visibility into how your organization is using the platform. Here's what's new.

Collaborative AI Projects

Real work doesn't always happen in isolated conversations. It often happens in the context of active engagements, client deliverables, and team efforts - and until now, HallianAI conversations lived in silos.

Projects changes that.

With Projects, you can create a dedicated workspace for any engagement or initiative. Upload your reference files, set AI instructions for how the assistant should behave within that context, and invite your team. Every conversation inside the project has access to the same files and context, and team members can see each other's work and build on it directly.

What you can do with Projects:

  • Create a project from the Projects section in the left sidebar, with a name, description, and optional AI instructions

  • Upload up to 20 files per project, available as context across every conversation in that workspace

  • Assign collaborators with specific roles and permissions

  • Share conversations with teammates so they can pick up where you left off

Projects work with any model you have access to, and support indexes and agents, giving you the full capability of HallianAI within a focused, shared workspace.

Whether you're managing a client engagement, running an internal initiative, or coordinating a research effort, Projects keeps the context together and the team aligned.

Token Usage Metrics and Visibility

Understanding how your organization uses AI is essential for managing costs, demonstrating ROI, and making informed decisions about adoption. HallianAI 6.5.4 introduces token tracking at every level of the platform.

For individual users, a new Token Usage section in your profile shows your monthly activity broken down by model and token type - input, output, and reasoning. You can track your usage over time and see which models you rely on most.

For administrators, the platform now surfaces organization-wide data directly in the dashboard:

  • Total tokens used across the organization in the last 30 days

  • Token usage trends by month

  • Usage breakdown by model

  • Per-user token data, accessible from the Users section

Token counts are tracked across all interactions including conversations, workflows, agents, and metadata operations, so you get a complete picture of the entire organization

This data gives administrators the visibility they need to understand adoption, identify where AI is delivering value, and make confident decisions about model selection and resource allocation.

Also in This Release

Drag and Drop File Uploads: Drop files directly into any conversation in the Assistant tab, Projects, or Workflows. Choose to save the file to your personal My Files library for reuse across the platform, or attach it only to the current conversation.

User-Selectable Reasoning Level: For models that support it, users can now control the depth of AI reasoning applied to a conversation. Quick lookups don't need the same processing intensity as complex multi-step analysis.

Administrator Index and Permission Improvements: Assign a new index to multiple roles in a single step. The Super User role now automatically receives access to all new platform resources without manual assignment.

MCP Server Tool Bulk Enable/Disable: Enable or disable all tools for an MCP server with a single checkbox, making agent configuration faster and less error-prone.

Bug Fixes

  • Clearer feedback when permission issues prevent index refresh operations

  • Fixed repeated processing attempts on deleted documents

  • Fixed potential unintended document duplication during webscraper runs

  • Resolved an error during image processing

  • Fixed incorrect rejection of images that were just under the size limit

  • Corrected MCP server tool enable/disable display state in assistant chat

  • Resolved a memory leak during MCP server update operations
